ファンなら満足できる一冊
皆さんがお書きになっているように、シャーロックホームズの歴代俳優や、著者コナン・ドイルの紹介、作品がアニメや人形劇になって製作された事など、たくさんの写真と共に紹介されている一冊です。

私の世代だと、ホームズ＝ジェレミー・ブレッドというくらい馴染みが深い俳優さんなので、当時のポスターや撮影風景の写真が見られるだけでも嬉しいことです。
(シルクハット姿のジェレミーが、派手なパラソルを片手に、扇風機にあたっているお茶目な写真もあります)

また、"ヤング・シャーロック・ホームズ"などの、ホームズに関連する作品も余すところなく掲載されており、日本でも放映された　イアン・リチャードソン主演の"Murder Rooms"(コナン・ドイルの事件簿)　などは撮影風景の写真と共に、六ページにわたり紹介されていました。
(ちなみにイアン・リチャードソンが本誌の序文を書かれています)

ポアロ(デビッド・スーシェ)やマープル(ジョーン・ヒックソン)、主任警部モース(ジョン・ソウ)の写真も載っており、英語が読めなくてもミステリーファンなら十分楽しめます。

名探偵ホームズの顔がずらり、観ていて楽しい!!!
こりゃまたずしりとハードカバーの重み、とにかく全てのホームズ役者そしてワトスン役者のスチルが多くラズボーンなどは服や髪型が戦中になっていくし、ポスターも貴重なものが見られました。英語の苦手な方向けです。ホームズ絵本という感じ。

ホームズの写真集
大判です。表紙のジェレミーのホームズがとてもカッコイイので立て掛けて飾ることも可能。
内容は、歴代のホームズについて写真を中心に載せています。今では手に入らないような頃のホームズの様子も見られて楽しいです。日本で放送された犬のホームズのことも載っているのは驚きました(笑)

文の方は勿論英語なのでなかなか読めませんが、写真を見ているだけでも十分な作品。
色んなホームズが見てみたい！という人にお薦めです。
